When I first went wedding dress shopping, I had one of those moments when I knew I found "the one". But little did I know I was going to have another moment at my final dress fitting. Sarah did such an amazing job at making the dress fit me instead of the other way around. When I put it on, I truly saw myself as a bride at that moment. Her attention to detail was immaculate. There were so many beads to work with but she put every single one back on when she had to remove them to take in the bust. She also was so very helpful in determining what kind of bustle would best suit my style. I've never worked with such a kind and caring seamstress, who made me feel like she was altering a dress of a family member, with the amount of work and love she put into it.
I came to Sarah with a project very near and dear to my heart; my father passed away a few years ago unexpectedly, and I had taken great care to keep all of his characteristic button-up plaid shirts that he wore all the time so that someday I could have them made into patchwork quilts for my sister and myself. Sarah not only did an AMAZING job on them (they're quite literally perfect), but she approached them with a level of care and sentimentality that mirrored how I felt about them. That almost meant more to me than her incredible handiwork and professionalism; that she knew how much these blankets would mean to me, and she made them with as much love as a stranger can muster. She was also communicative, realistic in her time estimates, and fair in her pricing. I would've actually gladly paid a bit more, seeing now the quality of her work and how easy and pleasant it was to work with her. If you need anything made, Sarah's your best bet. I will definitely be working with her again on future projects! Thank you so much, Sarah. The quilts are so precious, and I can't wait to surprise my sister with hers.
I found Sarah just a few days before I had to be at a black tie wedding. I'd searched high and low for a dress. I'd planned on renting one from Rent the Runway, but there was nothing in my size available for the upcoming weekend, and the prices seemed a little high. For inspiration, I showed Sarah a picture of a dress I loved, and she ended up making me an even BETTER dress for an incredible price! I was blown away by how fast she worked. She made sure the dress was perfect for my size and style. I loved it so much that I went to Sarah again when my daughter was in a wedding a few months later. She made the most beautiful flower girl dress for her, and again at a great price. And my four-year-old was comfortable dancing in it the whole night! So much thought and care was put into every stitch. I love that these dresses are truly one-of-a-kind, made just for us. I just hope we'll have another event soon so we can wear them again!! Sarah with Sew Truly Yours was a wonderful gift from the heavens when it came time to altering my mermaid-style wedding gown for a destination wedding in Mexico. She was always prompt with great communication, sincere kindness, and thorough knowledge of the necessary steps and planning to make my dress fit like a dream! She was a pleasure to work with and incredibly flexible if there needed to be additional adjustments as the tailoring occurred. Five stars simply isn’t enough! Sarah did an amazing job on a T-shirt quilt made from old college shirts. Sarah was attentive and open to answering questions and made the whole experience very easy when it could easily be overwhelming. She has a great eye for materials that would go well and be complimentary to the overall look of the quilt and design. I truly loved working with her and plan on taking future projects to her. Thank you so much Sarah for all the hard work you put into this project and turning a bunch of old shirts into a memorable, comfy piece of usable art for my home! ❤️
Sarah was so great to work with. As my friends and family live out of state, she stood in to help with my wedding dress, performing small miracles and taking it down 4 sizes. She truly is a talent and a really wonderful person.

Sarah was the most wonderful person to work with- she altered my daughters wedding dress and my MOB dress and was responsive, creative with solutions like the bustle- we went to her 2-3 times to try on dresses and she helped us feel really great about our dresses and did a perfect job of alterations- I would highly recommend her to anyone - she’s easy to work with and we even invited her to the cocktail hour we liked her so much!
Working with Sarah was one of the best decisions I made when getting ready for my wedding. She was able to take out my delicate beaded dress by 2 inches and make it look even more gorgeous than when we started. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
